Printing occurs directly through your local network/Odoo server. However, the desktop client requires internet connection for settings (e.g., adding or removing printers/devices).

Yes, but only for printing functionality. It's ideal if your main need is to eliminate IoT Box for printing purposes.

Ultraprint + Odoo add-on supports POS receipt printing and kitchen order tickets and works with cloud-hosted Odoo Enterprise and is compatible with all Windows-compatible printers. It also supports mobile and tablet printing (with desktop center).

Ultraprint + Browser extension supports all Odoo printing, including labels and ZPL, except Kitchen Orders. We have a growing catalog of supported printing features

Ultraprint cannot replace IoT Box for other device interfaces, including barcode readers, weight scales, payment terminals, measuring instruments, customer displays, cash drawer opening, or "mobile-only printing". If you need them, you will still need IoT Box or another solution.
